Performance selection and principles of bearing lubricating grease

Oils and greases are the most common lubricants used in bearings.

When we maintain bearings, lubrication is of great help to the operation of the bearings, such as reducing the friction coefficient.

What do we need to know when choosing bearing oil and grease for lubrication?

PSYZC tells you, first we need to know what types of bearing lubricants there are.

Secondly, we must understand the selection of lubricating oil performance.

Third, we need to understand the principles of using bearing lubricants.

Finally, we need to choose a lubricant.

In this way, the bearing can ensure the most reasonable lubrication effect.

1. Commonly used lubricants for bearings:

①. Lubricating oil - liquid, the most widely used;

②. Grease - semi-solid, generally used for medium and low speeds;

③. Solid lubricants are mainly used as grease additives and can also be used alone.

Solid lubricant: In order to prevent and protect the friction surface from damage and reduce its friction and wear,

the powdery or film-like solid used on the surface is called solid lubricant.

Solid lubricants have the characteristics of wide operating temperature range, strong load-bearing capacity,

good anti-stick-slip performance, high vacuum resistance, radiation resistance, wide conductivity range,

anti-corrosion and dust-proof, etc., and are a kind of special lubricant.

Its disadvantage is that the friction coefficient is generally larger than that of grease and the energy loss is large, it cannot be cooled.
